BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA, January 30 – Daniel Corporation, one of the Sunbelt Region’s most active real estate development, management, and investment firms, announced today they have hired Genevieve Douglass as Director of Leasing and Brokerage to handle all landlord representation assignments for company-owned assets, as well as, its clients.
Prior to Daniel, Douglass was a Director at a commercial real estate firm in New Orleans for several years where she teamed on development deals and projects, and as a licensed agent, supported the brokerage team with landlord and tenant representation of retail, office and industrial leasing, and specialized in off-market acquisitions.

The 18,298 square foot FirstBank lease at Daniel’s Financial Center office building announced at the end of 2022, is supporting evidence of the recent strengthening of the Birmingham office market. The lease, brokered by Daniel (and in conjunction with Colliers), will add jobs and provide a significant economic impact for downtown Birmingham during this return-to-office phase of post-pandemic life.

This institutional quality asset is one of a handful of elite office buildings in downtown Birmingham located near the various courthouses and other institutional users. Daniel’s offices are located on the 10 th floor of the building. Daniel completed new or renewed leases totaling in more than 90,000 square feet in 2022, and the building is currently 88.5% leased.
